This is the latest info for the EASL Club. This is a student group putting together model sessions, sketch trips and other events. Veronica Quiroz sent me the info below. I can't emphasize enough the importance of this. If anyone is interested in demo's of any kind let me know and I'll be happy to do some and maybe later get some guests to talk/demo. Take advantage of this so it grows, it's great for everyone. Also a good way to fill up your sketchbook for my class.
This tuesday, the club will be meeting at the Packing House (440 S. Anaheim blvd, Anaheim Ca) at 5pm and they're going to sketch around the place as a group.
The club regularly meets in room 1015 on tuesdays where the meetings start at 5 and end at 7pm unless we're doing outside sketching.
The club meetings will mostly be for students to draw and work, bounce off of each other's creativity. Ranging from sketch groups to themed drawings to brainstorm sessions to days where we share different sketching materials. I've suggested we talk about networking methods and actually going to events and gallery openings to put networking into action.
On Fridays we will be holding life drawing sessions in room 1020. The doors will be open around 6:30 and we will most likely end the session around 9:40 (ish) to leave time to clean up and share work. It will be $3 at the door and students must their student i.d.'s.
We're working on building up enough funds with these meetings to hire professional models.
